Cerebral palsy is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. It primarily impacts body movement and muscle coordination. In the United States, cerebral palsy is the most common of all childhood disabilities, affecting about 2-3 live births out of 1,000; eight thousand to ten thousand babies and infants are diagnosed with cerebral palsy every year.
We founded the non-profit organization Run Out CP, Inc and the Ding Dong Dash 5k Run/1k Walk coming up on October 24, 2015. Our goal is to unite people in a fun, family friendly environment to raise money to help individuals living with Cerebral Palsy.
